What our clients say

School Combined Cadet Force

Grant provided an exceptionally fun evening of drumming for Rutlish School Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Cadets and Staff. A fantastic evening of fun, laughter and achievement for the entire Contingent.

The Squad, Charity

The Squad group of adults with learning disabilities had great fun at our session with Grant from Wimbledrum. He was very patient and made sure every member of the group was included and had a go at drumming whatever their ability.  Grant tailored the evening to the group. Would recommend this as a team building activity.

Members, Tooting W.I.

I really really enjoyed it! A fabulous, fun evening of group drumming. Grant was great at leading us all in our different sections and somehow getting the whole group to create a cohesive percussion track to some rock and disco favourites. Lots of beaming smiles all round.

About Us

Hi. I’m Grant. I've been drumming in one way or another for over 40 years. As you’ll see from the pictures, my drumming experience started with marching bands and moved into rock music. So when, during lockdown, I started thinking about a format for a social drumming group, these felt like the most authentic styles for me to work with. I love the simplicity and the immediacy of drumming. They make it a great way to relax, have fun and bring people together. I’ve been running community drumming sessions since early 2022, and in 2025, I established a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). I’m a qualified teacher (PGCE) and work as a facilitator and support worker with a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism. As well as the successful community drumming events, we also run team building drumming sessions for businesses and other organisations. Sessions are competitively priced, so I can help more and more people to experience the joy of drumming in a group. And if you’re in the non-profit/charity sector, I can even offer accessibly priced sessions too.

When viewed holistically, communal drumming creates a physical and emotional experience of belonging that addresses one of the core psychological components of depression: feelings of isolation, alienation, invisibility, and worthlessness. Communal drumming offers an opportunity for individuals to wordlessly come back into the fold of the community and physically realize their contributions to the group.
